As Week 10 of the 2025 Wyoming Legion Baseball season begins, teams across the state find themselves past the halfway mark and looking ahead to the upcoming state tournaments, WyoPreps reports.
With competition intensifying, this week marks a key point in the schedule, highlighted by local and out-of-state tournament play and a series of important conference matchups.
Tournament action heats up this week with multiple teams traveling beyond Wyoming’s borders. Four squads are competing in South Dakota, including the Black Hills Veterans Classic in Rapid City and the Alan Tellinghuisen Tournament in Spearfish. Two others have headed to Colorado to participate in the Mile High Shootout and the Five Tool Northern Colorado Wood Bat Tournament.
Closer to home, the annual Dean Bullock Memorial Tournament returns to Torrington on Friday and Saturday. It features Wyoming teams like the Riverton Raiders and Torrington Tigers facing off against out-of-state opponents, including the Alliance Spartans and Rocky Mountain Lobos.
Several conference doubleheaders are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday. Key matchups include:
Tuesday, June 3:
Cheyenne Eagles at Casper Drillers
Wheatland Lobos at Douglas Cats
Cheyenne Sixers at Cheyenne Hawks
Gillette Riders at Laramie Rangers AA
Green River Knights at Cody Cubs
Wednesday, June 4:
Gillette Riders at Rock Springs Stallions
Powell Pioneers at Riverton Raiders
Additional non-conference games with out-of-state teams, such as Lockwood Razorbacks and Lewistown Redbirds, are also featured midweek.
Action began Monday with several notable results:
Fort Collins’ LB Baseball 18U team swept a doubleheader against the Casper Oilers.
The Gillette Rustlers split their series with the Belle Fourche Broncs, taking the first game 7–3 before falling 8–0 in the second.
The weekend promises more intense action. In addition to continued tournament play, conference matchups include:
Lovell Mustangs vs. Evanston Outlaws
Jackson Giants at Casper Oilers
Casper Drillers at Laramie Rangers A
Each of the ongoing tournaments culminates on Sunday, with several teams scheduled to play placement games. Matchups will be determined based on earlier results, with teams such as the Cody Cubs, Laramie Rangers AA, and Sheridan Troopers among those awaiting final opponents.
