Foreigners with at least $5 million in spare capital can now register for early notification about a new U.S. visa program dubbed the “Trump Card” — a fast-track route to American citizenship under President Donald Trump’s administration.

President Trump announced the launch Wednesday night via Truth Social, calling it a golden opportunity for those looking to invest in “the Greatest Country and Market anywhere in the World.”

“FOR FIVE MILLION $DOLLARS, THE TRUMP CARD IS COMING!” Trump wrote. “Thousands have been calling and asking how they can sign up to ride a beautiful road in gaining access to the Greatest Country and Market anywhere in the World. It’s called THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! THE WAITING LIST IS NOW OPEN. To sign up, go to – TRUMPCARD.GOV.”

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick amplified the announcement, reposting Trump’s message and adding, “The wait is over.” The official website features a gold card bearing Trump’s likeness, his signature, and the figure “$5,000,000.”

The Trump Card, first teased by Lutnick during a live-streamed Axios event in May, is designed to offer foreign investors a vetted, expedited route to citizenship while also serving as a massive revenue source for the federal government.

“People can start to register,” Lutnick said at the time. “The details of that will come soon after, but all that will come over a matter of the next weeks — not months, weeks.”

He acknowledged that the card is not meant for everyone but for those who can “afford to help America pay off its debt.”

“Why wouldn’t they want a plan B?” Lutnick asked, referencing individuals in politically or economically unstable regions. “God forbid something bad happens, you come to the airport in America and the person in immigration says, ‘Welcome home.’”

According to Lutnick, applicants will undergo strict vetting. He emphasized that such investors are expected to bring entrepreneurship, capital, and jobs into the U.S. economy.

“These are great people who are going to come and bring businesses and opportunity to America. And they’re going to pay $5 million,” he said.

Lutnick even floated the hypothetical scenario that if 200,000 individuals applied, the U.S. would raise $1 trillion — a staggering sum compared to the current system.

“We give it away for free,” he said, referencing the annual 280,000 U.S. visas issued under the current immigration system. “Not counting the 20 million people who broke into this country for nothing under Biden… Donald Trump’s gonna bring in a trillion dollars. For what purpose? To make America better. And it makes perfect sense to me.”

Trump has previously floated the idea of monetizing U.S. citizenship pathways for global elites, presenting it as a “win-win” policy: a crackdown on illegal immigration paired with a revenue-generating legal migration channel.

In a February interview with Special Report anchor Bret Baier, Lutnick reaffirmed that all Trump Card applicants will be thoroughly screened.

“These are vetted people,” he said. “They are going to bring entrepreneurial spirit, capacity, and growth to America. They’ll pay American taxes. This is huge money for America.”

The Trump administration’s new immigration approach comes amid heightened scrutiny of border security, student debt, and economic inequality, but supporters argue the program represents a bold and practical solution to multiple challenges.
