A 19-year-old Cheyenne resident is in custody and facing a charge of second-degree murder following a fatal shooting that occurred early Friday morning in unincorporated Laramie County, according to the Laramie County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO), Cap City News reports.

Authorities say deputies responded to a reported shooting at 505 Williams Street around 12:14 a.m. on June 13, 2025. Upon arrival, deputies found 18-year-old Ryan Snow with a gunshot wound. Despite emergency efforts, Snow died from his injuries at the scene.

The suspect, identified as Nathan Pfaff, was taken into custody shortly after the incident. Investigators say that Pfaff and Snow were involved in a dispute prior to the shooting, which may have been a contributing factor.

A second individual was also detained during the investigation, but officials say that person is not considered a suspect in the case.

The LCSO continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Detective Corporal Dudley at 307-633-4726.

As with all criminal cases, Pfaff is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

More updates will be provided as new details become available.
