Iran has issued a stark warning to the United States, saying any direct military intervention in its conflict with Israel would spark a full-scale regional war. The warning comes as missile and drone exchanges between Tehran and Tel Aviv enter a sixth consecutive day.

In a televised interview on Wednesday, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei declared that American involvement “would be a recipe for an all-out war in the region.” He expressed confidence that Arab nations hosting U.S. bases would refuse to allow them to be used against “their Muslim neighbours.”

U.S. President Donald Trump has signaled greater involvement, stating he wants more than a ceasefire. The U.S. has deployed additional aircraft and the USS Nimitz carrier group to the region. Trump also demanded Iran’s “unconditional surrender” and claimed the U.S. has “complete control” of Iranian airspace.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei vowed resistance, warning the U.S. would suffer “irreparable damage” if it intervened. Meanwhile, Iran’s UN ambassador stated the country would defend itself “strongly and without restraint.”

As tensions escalated, Israel reported multiple Iranian missile barrages overnight, including hypersonic missiles targeting Tel Aviv. Iran said its Fattah-1 missiles struck Israeli shelters, while Israeli authorities confirmed drone interceptions and casualties.

Israel retaliated by bombing facilities in Tehran allegedly used for nuclear centrifuge production. The International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed strikes on two such sites.

Iranian state media claimed to have downed an Israeli Hermes drone in Isfahan and destroyed an Israeli F-35 jet near Varamin.

Civilian displacement continues in both countries. Hundreds of foreign nationals have fled Iran into Armenia and Azerbaijan. China and the U.S. have also evacuated diplomatic staff and citizens.

Iranian rights groups estimate over 585 people, including 239 civilians, have been killed in Israeli strikes. Israeli officials report at least 24 deaths from Iranian attacks.

As global powers call for restraint, the situation remains volatile with no sign of de-escalation.
