Wyoming Resident Charged in Clarkston Stabbing Makes First Court Appearance

A Wyoming man accused of stabbing a motel manager earlier this month appeared in court for the first time on Wednesday in Asotin County, Washington, Moscow Pullman Daily News reports.

Thomas R. Krogman, 68, has been charged with first-degree attempted murder in connection with a June 2 incident at a Motel 6 located on Bridge Street in Clarkston. According to court records, Krogman allegedly stabbed 72-year-old Daniel Henry eight times. Henry survived the attack.

During the court hearing in Asotin County Superior Court, the prosecution requested that no bond be set for Krogman. Judge Tina Kernan granted the request, and Krogman is currently being held at the Asotin County Jail. He had been transported from Wyoming earlier this week, following his arrest in Gillette on June 4.

Krogman’s arraignment is scheduled for 9 a.m. on July 7. He is being represented by attorney Nick Ward.

Authorities have not released further details about the motive or circumstances surrounding the incident. The case remains under investigation.
