Comedian Andrew Schulz has accused former Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign of “blatantly lying” about discussions to appear on his podcast, claiming the campaign misrepresented outreach and scheduling attempts while publicly suggesting Schulz’s team was unresponsive.
During a recent episode of his podcast “Flagrant,” Schulz stated that Harris’ team approached his team to arrange an interview but later claimed publicly that the podcast ignored the request. Schulz played audio clips and displayed email screenshots he says prove the Harris campaign initially reached out and that his team responded promptly to set up a time, only to receive no follow-up.
“They came to us. We replied. Then they ghosted us and turned around to say we weren’t responsive. That’s a blatant lie,” Schulz said.
The comedian emphasized that he was open to interviewing Harris but criticized what he described as the campaign’s attempt to gain “cool points” with younger voters by leveraging popular podcasts without genuine intent to appear. He further noted the campaign’s claim that it was seeking “unfiltered platforms” appeared hollow if they were unwilling to follow through.
The Harris campaign has not issued a public response to Schulz’s claims, and it remains unclear if an appearance on “Flagrant” will be rescheduled.
