Legendary singer-songwriter Paul Simon has postponed several upcoming concerts after undergoing minor surgery, his representatives confirmed.

Simon is expected to recover quickly and has assured fans that the surgery was precautionary. A spokesperson said the tour’s Philadelphia and Boston dates set for July will be rescheduled “once Mr. Simon has fully recovered and received medical clearance.”

Support acts and venues are working to accommodate ticket holders with refund or rescheduling options. Fans will receive individual notifications from ticketing agencies regarding new dates and arrangements.

Despite the changes, fans have flooded social media with messages of support and well wishes for the music icon’s recovery. Simon’s team emphasized that his summer tour will continue as soon as doctors give the all-clear.
