Kayla Rae Reid, the wife of Olympic gold medalist Ryan Lochte, has posted a cryptic message on social media about betrayal as the couple proceeds with their divorce.
In a recent Instagram story, Kayla shared a series of affirmations hinting at emotional challenges during this period. One post read, “Sometimes God allows the betrayal because it leads to the breakthrough,” while another stated, “Divorce isn’t the end of my story. It’s the beginning of my rebirth.” She also shared, “You’re stepping into the best chapter of your life – you just have to heal first,” and, “Most people have no idea what I’ve endured. Ignore their opinions. Truth always reveals itself.”
The posts come after Kayla filed for divorce from Lochte in June after seven years of marriage. The couple, who share three young children, announced the split earlier this month, with Kayla stating the decision followed deep reflection and was made out of love for herself and those around her.
Ryan Lochte has expressed his intent to remain a present and supportive father during the transition, emphasizing the importance of family while the two move forward with their separate lives.
