Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa has announced his first major executive appointment since taking the helm of the global automaker, promoting veteran automotive executive Tim Kuniskis to oversee all American brands and lead North American marketing and retail strategy, CNBC reports.

The move comes just one week after Filosa assumed the top job and reflects a renewed focus on Stellantis’ US operations.

Kuniskis, who currently serves as CEO of the Ram brand, will retain that role while expanding his leadership responsibilities across the company’s broader US portfolio. A longtime figure in the performance and truck segments, Kuniskis returned to Stellantis in late 2023 following a brief retirement, stepping in after former CEO Carlos Tavares stepped down unexpectedly.

Alongside the leadership changes, Stellantis also announced the revival of its Street and Racing Technology (SRT) division, a move that signals a renewed commitment to high-performance vehicles and motorsports. The SRT group will unite engineering teams from Dodge, Jeep, Ram, and Chrysler to develop next-generation performance models.

“SRT is another box we needed to check,” Kuniskis said in a company statement. “We’re getting the band back together.”

The restructuring comes at a critical time for Stellantis’ American brands, particularly Ram, which has faced prolonged sales declines. Kuniskis is spearheading a product offensive aimed at reversing that trend, with the company planning to launch 25 new products over the next 18 months.

Among the brand’s headline moves is the return of the V-8 Hemi engine to the Ram 1500 full-size pickup lineup. The engine, which had been phased out, is scheduled to make a comeback in early 2026 — a decision likely to resonate with performance truck enthusiasts and long-time Ram customers.
