Michigan Investigation Underway After Dozens Hospitalized Following Mystic ‘Twin Flames’ Event

Michigan authorities have launched an investigation after dozens of participants at a spiritual “Twin Flames” event were hospitalized, suffering symptoms that range from vomiting and dizziness to convulsions and fainting.
The event, held at a retreat center near Traverse City, drew roughly 120 attendees who engaged in intensive rituals aimed at achieving spiritual transformation or a mystical “twin flame” connection. Local hospitals reported that approximately 60 individuals sought medical attention late Saturday, with many describing sudden onset of acute symptoms during midnight ceremonies.
First responders and health officials are conducting extensive tests to identify the cause of the mass illness, including examining potential toxins, environmental hazards, or contaminated substances at the event site. County health officials have also collected samples of water, food, and air to determine the source of illness.
Organizers of the retreat, which featured guided meditations, breathwork, and prolonged fasting, said they are cooperating with health authorities and offered to assist investigators. They emphasized their commitment to attendee safety and said they are reviewing all substance sources and venue conditions.
Authorities have urged anyone who attended the event and later experienced similar symptoms to contact local health services immediately. Investigators are working to determine whether the incident was accidental or involved deliberate contamination.
