Good news for Wyoming drivers: gas prices are still sliding. Over the past week, the average price at the pump dropped another 4.7 cents, landing at $3.04 per gallon, according to the latest survey from GasBuddy.com.
Compared to a month ago, that’s a 7.7 cent drop — and prices are nearly 25 cents lower than this time last year.
If you’re hunting for the cheapest fill-up, the lowest price reported in the state on Sunday was $2.61, while the highest was a whopping $4.49 — a $1.88 swing depending on where you’re filling up.
Nationwide, gas prices actually crept up by a hair — just 0.9 cents — to a national average of $3.10 per gallon. That’s still down over 6 cents from a month ago and more than 37 cents cheaper than this time last year.
Diesel prices, on the other hand, are ticking upward. The national average climbed 1.6 cents last week, now sitting at $3.71 per gallon.
Bottom line: While national prices are bouncing around, Wyoming continues to trend in the right direction — cheaper. So go ahead and top off the tank while prices are still friendly.
