The Wyoming Foundation for Cancer Care has tapped state Rep. Elissa Campbell as its new executive director — and she’s bringing decades of experience and a whole lot of heart to the job.

A Casper native, Campbell has spent more than 25 years building her professional chops while logging countless volunteer hours for causes close to home. Now, she’ll be steering WFCC’s statewide operations, from boosting brand awareness to growing the foundation’s signature fundraisers: Tough Enough to Wear Pink, the Tata Trot, and the Grand Masquerade Ball.

“I’m honored to join the Wyoming Foundation for Cancer Care and excited to contribute to its mission,” Campbell said in a statement. “Helping cancer patients with non-medical financial support is a cause close to my heart.”

The nonprofit helps Wyoming cancer patients cover non-medical expenses so they can focus on recovery without worrying about things like rent, gas, or groceries. Campbell’s mission? Strengthen community partnerships and make sure more people know that help is out there.
