Game, Set, Gillette: Wyoming State Tennis Hits the Courts Sept. 25–27

Wyoming’s best high school players are heading to Gillette for the 2025 State Tennis Meet, running Thursday–Saturday, Sept. 25–27. The 10 brackets are set, with play starting 8 a.m. each day and all championship and 3rd-place matches on Saturday.

Sites & schedule

  • Thu–Sat, 8 a.m. starts for all three days.
  • Finals day: Saturday hosts every championship and 3rd-place match.

Venues

  • Campbell County High School: Boys & girls #1 and #2 singles, plus #1 doubles (championship and 3rd-place).
  • Thunder Basin High School: Boys & girls #2 doubles and #3 doubles (championship and 3rd-place).
  • Weather plan: Matches shift to the Gillette Indoor Facility if needed.

Sheridan snapshot

  • 2024 finish: Sheridan boys 2nd, girls 8th.
  • Trophy case: Broncs’ lone boys’ state title came in 1985.
    Lady Broncs own 8 state crowns — 1988, 1990–93, 2003, 2004, and 2019 (shared with Cheyenne Central).

Bring your sunscreen (and maybe an umbrella). Finals Saturday should be a show.
