Lander School Board Sets Tuesday Night Session on WAEA Results
County 10

The original story by Katie Roenigk for County 10.

The Lander School Board meets Tuesday, Oct. 21, at 6 p.m. in the Administration Building boardroom, 863 Sweetwater St., with in-person seating and a live Zoom stream (ID 865 9192 1333, Passcode 1ZE7i6).

Trustees will hear two showcases—Go Baby Go and Wind River Outdoor Education at Lander Middle School—then take up personnel moves, early-graduation requests, and two gifts: $5,000 from the Lander Kiwanis Club for the outdoor education program and $8,683 from the LOR Foundation for Lander Valley High School softball equipment.

Administrators from every school will walk through state accountability updates, including the Wyoming Accountability in Education Act results. The policy docket features a first reading of IHBI (Time Distribution Records for Federal Programs) and proposed revisions to expense reimbursements (DLC/DLC-R), staff complaints and grievances (GBM-R), and possession/use of weapons (GCU); the homeschooling reporting form (INJ-E) is slated for deletion. The board will also discuss next steps toward a district-wide human resources position.

An executive session on litigation and student discipline will follow, after which stipulated agreements may be approved. Meeting recordings will be posted afterward. For details, call Fremont County School District 1 at (307) 332-4711.
