The Fremont County School District 6 Board of Trustees is set to meet at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 8, in the Board Room at 223 N. Cherry St. in Pavillion.

The evening will start on a positive note with celebrations, followed by board reorganization and appointments to various boards and committees.

After that, trustees will hear several reports, including the October 2025 financial report, the elementary board report, and the middle school/high school board report. They’ll also talk about using Simbli iPads, go over results from the fall stakeholder survey, and set up future work sessions.

A big topic on the agenda is a recap of the recent Fremont County Legislative Forum. The board will also get information about the Wyoming School Boards Association legislative forum in Cheyenne, discuss dual and concurrent enrollment by school district, and review Indian policies and procedures.

Those Indian policies and procedures aren’t just for discussion — they’re listed as the first action item of the night.

Other action and information items include:

  • Hiring Patricia Wederski as a part-time middle school reading intervention teacher for the rest of the 2025-2026 school year;
  • Health and wellness changes;
  • Recreation Board member appointment;
  • Designating depositories;
  • Setting meeting time and date;
  • Choosing a newspaper of record;
  • Designating legal counsel;
  • An agreement with the Wind River Inter-Tribal Council;
  • Handling disposable/surplus items;
  • Accepting donations.

Before the meeting wraps up, the board will move into an executive session.

Monday’s meeting is open to the public for in-person attendance. For more information, contact FCSD 6 at (307) 856-7970.
