The Fremont County School District 25 Board of Trustees is gearing up for an organization meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, in the Board Chambers at 121 North Fifth Street West in Riverton.

On tap first: electing board officers and approving a slate of financial designations and appointments.

As part of the consent agenda, trustees will consider second readings of several updated policies, including:

  • Policy 2075: Inventories and Property Management;
  • Policy 2085-R: School Property Disposal;
  • Policy 5135-R: District Staff Supervision and Evaluation.

Under action items, the board is expected to look at a draft audit report for the 2024-2025 fiscal year. They’ll also decide whether to authorize the board chair as the official signatory on all Findings of Facts and Conclusions of Law related to student expulsions.

Other action items include proposals to:

  • Award a $1.14 million bid to Norcon Industries for the Riverton High School gym floor and bleacher project;
  • Accept the resignation of RHS Head Volleyball Coach Justin Taylor, effective Dec. 3;
  • Offer contracts to RHS Assistant Wrestling Coaches Jackson Larsen and Lacey Reynolds for the 2025-2026 school year.

On the information side, the board will hear about an upcoming Frontier Academy graduation, scheduled for 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, at the program’s new building (the former Jackson Elementary).

Trustees will also review the job description for the Native American Education Student Ambassador and get updates on classified staff changes and district enrollment.

Before adjourning, the board plans to enter an executive session to discuss personnel.

Tuesday’s meeting is open to the public for in-person attendance and will also be streamed live on the district’s YouTube channel, where recordings of past meetings are available. For more information, call FCSD 25 at (307) 856-9407.
