Wyoming PBS just added a new voice from southwest Wyoming to its foundation board, SweetwaterNOW reports.
Danielle Salas of Green River was appointed to the Wyoming PBS Foundation Board of Directors on Dec. 9, bringing a background rooted in local arts, culture and community work.
Salas is a lifelong Sweetwater County resident who now works as marketing, events and theater coordinator for Downtown Rock Springs, where she helps promote local businesses, pulls together community events and supports arts programming. She also writes for a local newspaper.
“Danielle brings both heart and expertise to our board,” Foundation Executive Director Judd Rogers said, pointing to her experience with community engagement and storytelling as Wyoming PBS grows partnerships around the state.
The foundation board helps steer the support side of Wyoming PBS — including fundraising, events, underwriting, programming and other foundation activities that keep the network running.
Salas has also served on the Purchasing and Placement Committee for the Green River Arts Council, and her resume includes time as an early childhood educator and even a nationally accredited golf coach.
“I am incredibly honored to join the Wyoming PBS Foundation Board of Directors, representing southwest Wyoming,” Salas said, adding that she hopes to use her experience in local media, outreach and event coordination to help strengthen the foundation’s work statewide.
