A Paradise Valley couple is facing federal drug charges after agents seized more than two pounds of methamphetamine from their SUV last month, according to a criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court. The case has also ensnared a 76-year-old Mills woman accused of bankrolling drug trips to Colorado.

Raymond Austin Roberts and Courtney Renae Robinson are charged with possession of methamphetamine in an amount over 500 grams with intent to distribute. They are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

The investigation began in May 2025 and involved multiple people, including individuals on federal parole and inmates at the Casper Re-Entry Center who, according to the affidavit, “were involved in procuring and distributing controlled substances both inside and outside the facility.”

Agents identified Robinson as the suspected source. Text messages found on his phone indicated that Leslie Diane Leslie, 76, of Mills, had been financing his trips to Colorado, the affidavit states.

In November, an informant told agents that Roberts and Robinson were distributing up to a pound of methamphetamine at a time from their Paradise Valley home. Agents conducted multiple controlled purchases from both suspects over the following month.

On Jan. 6, agents obtained a warrant to search the pair’s 2021 Chevrolet Blazer and monitored them as they traveled to Westminster, Colorado. When they returned Jan. 9, Wyoming Highway Patrol stopped the vehicle.

Agents removed the glove compartment and discovered a natural void behind the dashboard containing an alleged 2.12 pounds of methamphetamine, broken up among 15 bags, according to the complaint.

Roberts appeared in federal court last week. Robinson’s court date is pending.

On Feb. 9, agents and Mills police executed a warrant at Leslie’s home. They found 54 grams of suspected methamphetamine taped under a step stool, along with packaging materials and $1,480 in a pillowcase.

Leslie appeared in circuit court last week on two felony methamphetamine charges: possession with intent to deliver and possession in felony weight. She posted a $7,500 bond and is presumed innocent.
