Career Event in Casper Aims to Connect Wyoming Workers with Local Opportunities

A free career exploration event Wednesday in Casper will bring together dozens of Wyoming employers, offering job seekers direct access to hiring representatives, resume help and professional headshots.

The Career Exploration and Advancement Event runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Union/University of Wyoming Building on the Casper College campus. It is hosted by University of Wyoming at Casper and Casper College and sponsored by the Casper Area Chamber of Commerce.

Organizers say the event goes beyond a traditional job fair by emphasizing long-term workforce development and career mobility. “This event is so important for those exploring career options, considering a career path change, or just wanting to come network and see all of the amazing career opportunities available right here in Wyoming,” said Rochelle Green, Organizational Leadership Program Director at UW Casper.

Attendees can meet with representatives from more than 50 organizations across healthcare, manufacturing, engineering, finance, public safety, state and federal government, skilled trades, hospitality, transportation and more. Participating employers include the Wyoming Department of Transportation, FBI Denver, Monument Health, Wyoming Machinery Company, Casper Police Department and numerous others.

Casper College Career Services will offer on-site resume and cover letter assistance, along with career inventory tools. Heart of Wyoming Photography will provide free professional headshots for LinkedIn and job applications. Texas Roadhouse is providing refreshments.

The event is open to students, working professionals, recent graduates and anyone considering a career transition. Organizers encourage attendees to bring resumes and be prepared to engage directly with hiring representatives.

“When talent connects with opportunity locally, everyone benefits—businesses grow, families thrive, and communities remain strong,” Green said. “This is about building a stronger Wyoming workforce together.”
