Natrona County is under a high wind warning today as fierce gusts pummel the area, with winds up to 75 mph possible along more wind-prone areas such as Outer Drive.

The National Weather Service in Riverton says the warning will expire at midnight, but overnight gusts up to 60 mph are still expected. Winds will let up only somewhat into the weekend, with gusts up to 50 mph Friday, 43 mph Saturday, and another round of 50 mph gusts Sunday.

High temperatures will reach the low 60s today through Saturday, with possible rain showers after noon Saturday. Overnight Saturday could bring a rain-snow mix.

Sunday will be cooler with a high of 30 degrees and chances of snow before noon, along with gusts around 23 mph. The overnight low will dip to 13 degrees before temperatures climb into next week, with highs in the low 50s Monday and potentially the mid-70s by midweek.
