CASPER, Wyo. — The Friends of the Library will host its annual Spring Book Sale on Saturday, April 11, featuring thousands of items sold at bargain prices for book lovers and bargain hunters alike.
Hardback books will be available for $2, with most other items priced at $1 or less. The sale includes a wide selection of gently used and rare books, along with DVDs, records, puzzles and games. Community members can donate items at any time the library is open throughout the year to help stock the sale with fresh inventory.
For those seeking early access to the best selection, two presale days are scheduled. The Early Bird Sale on Thursday, April 9, offers two-hour sessions for a $20 admission fee collected at the door. This gives dedicated bibliophiles first pick of the most sought-after items before the general public gets a chance. A Second Chance Sale follows on Friday, April 10, with two-hour sessions for $10 admission, allowing another opportunity for early browsing.
Reservations are required for all sessions, including the free public sale on Saturday. Attendees can reserve a spot online by selecting a session and completing the checkout process. The organization accepts cash, checks and credit cards for purchases.
The Friends of the Library organization plays a vital role in supporting library programs and services throughout the year, with proceeds from the book sale directly benefiting library initiatives. More information about the sale, including updates on available items and session availability, can be found on the group’s Facebook page.
