Six members of the Wyoming Cowboys track and field team have been named to the All-Mountain West Team, recognizing their standout performances in the conference, Casper Star-Tribune reports.
Senior thrower Daniel Reynolds and senior long jumper Kareem Mersal led the way for Wyoming, each earning individual recognition.
Reynolds received All-Conference honors in both the shot put and weight throw, marking his fourth and fifth career selections. He was previously a triple All-Conference honoree as a junior, excelling in the shot put, hammer throw (outdoor), and weight throw (indoor).
Mersal secured his fifth All-Conference recognition in the long jump, including his second consecutive award for the indoor season. He will aim to repeat his success in the upcoming outdoor season, where he previously earned All-Conference honors in 2021 and 2022.
The Cowboys’ 4×400 meter relay team—consisting of Cody Hape, Jaheim Ferguson, Logan Brown, and Bradley Ekstrom—also earned All-Conference recognition after finishing third at the Mountain West Indoor Championships.
This marks the first time since 2019 that a Wyoming men’s 4×400 relay team has received the prestigious All-Conference honor.
