The 2025 Wyoming High School 2A State Basketball Tournaments are set to begin in Casper, bringing together top teams from across the state for three days of competition.

Among the contenders are the defending champion Tongue River girls, who will look to repeat their success, as well as both boys’ and girls’ teams from Big Horn, representing Sheridan County.

The tournament will take place from March 6–8 at three locations: Casper College, the Ford Wyoming Center (FWC), and Natrona County High School (NC).

2A Boys Tournament Schedule

The boys’ tournament features eight teams competing for the championship. Wyoming Indian, the reigning 2A champions, will aim to defend their title after qualifying for another state appearance.

First Round – Thursday, March 6 (Casper College)

  • Noon: (#2W) Big Piney vs. (#3E) Pine Bluffs
  • 1:30 p.m.: (#1E) Sundance vs. (#4W) Rocky Mountain
  • 7 p.m.: (#2E) Wright vs. (#3W) Thermopolis
  • 8:30 p.m.: (#1W) Wyoming Indian vs. (#4E) Big Horn

Friday, March 7 (Ford Wyoming Center)

Consolation Round – Loser Out Games

  • Noon: Loser of Big Piney/Pine Bluffs vs. Loser of Sundance/Rocky Mountain
  • 1:30 p.m.: Loser of Wright/Thermopolis vs. Loser of Wyoming Indian/Big Horn

Semifinals

  • 7 p.m.: Winner of Big Piney/Pine Bluffs vs. Winner of Sundance/Rocky Mountain
  • 8:30 p.m.: Winner of Wright/Thermopolis vs. Winner of Wyoming Indian/Big Horn

Saturday, March 8

  • Noon: Consolation Championship – at Ford Wyoming Center
  • 3 p.m.: Third-Place Game – at Natrona County High School
  • 7 p.m.: Championship Game – at Ford Wyoming Center

2A Girls Tournament Schedule

The girls’ bracket includes the defending champion Tongue River Eagles, who will seek another title after a strong season.
