Wyoming Supreme Court Suspends Seven Attorneys for Noncompliance with Continuing Education Rules

The Wyoming Supreme Court has suspended seven attorneys from practicing law in the state due to their failure to meet continuing legal education (CLE) requirements, Oil City News reports.

Under Rule 4 of the Wyoming State Board of Continuing Legal Education, all active attorneys must complete 15 hours of CLE annually, including two hours of legal ethics. Attorneys who fail to meet this requirement must pay a $300 delinquency fee by March 1, as outlined in Rule 10(a). Additionally, attorneys recommended for suspension must pay an extra $300 noncompliance fee under Rule 10(c).

The following attorneys did not meet the CLE requirements for 2024 and have been suspended:

  • Matthew A. Bartlett – Riverdale, Utah

  • Jonathan C. Coppom – Denver, Colorado

  • Kathryn R. English – Houston, Texas

  • Katelyn M. Krabbenhoft – Cheyenne, Wyoming

  • Boyd M. McMaster – Thornton, Colorado

  • Edmond A. Petrus – Etna, Wyoming

  • Kathleen J. Woody – Silver Spring, Maryland
