Authorities in Sweetwater County are investigating a weekend shooting that left one man hospitalized, KGAB AM 650 reports.

According to the Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident as of Monday morning.

Sheriff’s office spokesperson Jason Mower reported that deputies responded to a call at approximately 5:45 p.m. on Saturday in the 600 block of Antelope Drive, located north of Rock Springs. Upon arrival, deputies found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County and later airlifted for additional medical treatment. His current condition has not been publicly disclosed.

While the investigation is ongoing, Mower noted that preliminary evidence suggests the shooting may have stemmed from a family dispute. Due to the active nature of the case, names and specific details have not been released.
