On July 16, residents across Wyoming will have the opportunity to make a statewide impact through WyoGives Day, a 24-hour online giving event that supports nonprofit organizations throughout the state, WVNews reports.

Among the many causes seeking support, Food Bank of Wyoming is encouraging donations to help address food insecurity affecting nearly 90,000 people statewide.

WyoGives is organized by the Wyoming Nonprofit Network and is designed to unite Wyomingites around a shared goal: strengthening communities by supporting local organizations. Donations made to Food Bank of Wyoming through the WyoGives platform are eligible for incentive pool matching, meaning contributions can go even further on this single day of giving.

“Nourishment is the foundation of every opportunity—from a child’s education to an adult’s health and independence,” said Danica Sveda, Executive Director of Food Bank of Wyoming. “Our mission is to ignite the power of community to support those experiencing hunger, and we are deeply grateful for the generosity shown by communities across the state on WyoGives Day.”

Food Bank of Wyoming plays a vital role in distributing food across the state, with a focus on fresh produce and locally sourced goods. More than just a food supplier, the organization sees itself as a key partner in helping individuals and families gain long-term stability by ensuring reliable access to nutritious meals.

Every $1 donated to Food Bank of Wyoming helps provide enough food for three meals, making individual contributions highly impactful. The organization hopes that this year’s WyoGives Day will bring people together to address a basic yet critical need in Wyoming’s communities.

Whether through small gifts or large donations, the day offers a powerful reminder that collective action can help ensure no Wyomingite goes hungry.
