Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is facing legal action from his wife, Angela Paxton, who has filed for divorce and named a man she alleges had an improper relationship with her husband. In her filing, Angela Paxton identified the individual as Ken Paxton’s “paramour” and accused the attorney general of spending time with this person.

Angela Paxton’s filing states that Ken Paxton and the named man attended a private dinner together. She asserts that the relationship was not merely professional and that she suffered emotional and reputational harm as a result.

Ken Paxton recently vacated the family home, according to the court papers, while Angela Paxton has asked the court to award her spousal support. She’s also seeking legal fees and restitution for the alleged wrongdoing.

Both parties are public figures in Texas politics: Ken Paxton is the state’s top law enforcement official, and Angela Paxton is a state senator. The filing brings personal turmoil into the spotlight of their political careers.
