A 12-year-old girl reported missing from Idaho Falls, Idaho, has been located safe in Colorado, according to the Idaho Falls Police Department.
The girl, identified as Tatiana Fuentes, was the subject of a multi-state Amber Alert issued Sunday by the Wyoming Highway Patrol and other law enforcement agencies.
Tatiana was last seen at her home around 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 12, and was reported missing at 11:00 a.m. the next day when her family was unable to locate her. Police believe she was abducted in the middle of the night by two adult males.
Law enforcement agencies, including the Idaho State Police and the Idaho Missing Persons Clearinghouse, identified one of the suspects as 18-year-old Marvin Juan Godoy Castillo, possibly from Texas. The second suspect, who is believed to be about 20 years old, has yet to be identified. The pair was believed to be transporting Tatiana in a dark blue 2012 Ford Focus with Texas license plate WBP6759. The vehicle is described as having a silver front bumper and an aftermarket rear spoiler.
A significant development occurred Sunday morning around 9:00 a.m., when a Bonneville County Sheriff’s Deputy pulled over the suspect vehicle in Swan Valley for speeding. Tatiana was seen in the back seat at the time, though she had not yet been reported missing. Once her disappearance was circulated later that day, the deputy recognized her and informed investigators.
Tatiana is described as a Hispanic female with brown hair and eyes, standing 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighing approximately 75 pounds. She has pierced ears and could have been wearing pink Air Jordans. Authorities believe she may have had a temporary butterfly tattoo on her left forearm.
The Idaho Falls Police Department confirmed that both suspects are currently in custody. Charges and future developments have not yet been disclosed. Officials stated that more information will be provided at a later time.
Law enforcement urges anyone with relevant information to contact their local agency or the Idaho Falls Police Department at (208) 529-1200.
