CASPER, Wyo. — Casper will experience another warm mid-April day Sunday before precipitation becomes likely early in the workweek. Sunday will be sunny with a high near 70 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Riverton. Winds will come in from the west and southwest at around 13–22 mph, gusting up to 33 mph. Temperatures will drop to as low as 42 degrees tonight, with moderate breezes continuing into the evening.

Monday will be slightly cooler than Sunday, with a high near 64. Breezes should increase as the day progresses, rising from 18–23 mph in the morning to 27–32 mph before noon. Casper could experience gusts of 48 mph on Monday. Monday night will be mostly cloudy with winds of 17–22 mph and gusts up to 33 mph possible, decreasing after midnight.

Showers will be possible multiple times throughout the incoming week, aside from a sunny and breezy Wednesday. Tuesday brings a 40% chance of rain and snow showers before 9 a.m., then a chance of rain showers with a high near 61. Later in the week, rain could turn to snow as temperatures dip into the mid-40s. Thursday offers a 50% chance of showers after noon with a high near 63, but Thursday night brings likely rain and snow showers as temperatures drop to 26. Friday could see snow showers likely, with a high near 40 and overnight lows around 21. By Saturday, a slight chance of snow showers remains, with a high near 47. Until then, the week will continue to see daily highs in the mid-60s before the colder weather moves in.
