The US Justice Department has announced several recent sentencing outcomes in federal criminal cases in Wyoming, involving charges ranging from drug trafficking to firearm offenses and escape from custody, Oil City News reports.

Below are key cases from the roundup.

In a major drug bust, Riverton police stopped Preston James Castor, 23, of Sundance, Wyoming, and discovered 44 pounds of methamphetamine in his vehicle. Castor was sentenced to 46 months in prison with three years of supervised release for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. The case was investigated by the Riverton Police Department, the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

Another significant case involved Quinton James Fisher, 21, a Colorado resident and Torrington native, who received a 120-month sentence for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and being a felon in possession of a firearm. Fisher was arrested in Evansville with over two pounds of methamphetamine, fentanyl pills, and several firearms. Fisher was on the DCI’s radar prior to his arrest and pleaded guilty in July.

James P. Graham, 64, of Cheyenne, was sentenced to 87 months for methamphetamine distribution. His arrest came after a traffic stop, where officers found over 165 grams of methamphetamine and related paraphernalia.

Robert Allen Yetsick, 36, a transient, was sentenced to 46 months for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. Yetsick was found unresponsive in a Cheyenne hotel room, where authorities recovered drugs, including methamphetamine, heroin, and marijuana.

Andrew Lee Kirkendall, 46, of Cheyenne, was sentenced to 30 months in prison after being convicted of being a felon in possession of a firearm. He was apprehended following a foot chase after discharging a firearm at the American Legion Post in Cheyenne. Kirkendall, a convicted felon, was found with a loaded Ruger 9mm pistol.

Anthony James Kelley, 33, of Gillette, was sentenced to 12 months and one day in federal prison for escaping from custody. Kelley walked out of a reentry center in Gillette in March, knowing he would be charged with escape. He was captured four days later at a hotel in Evansville.

Gregory James Griffin, 31, of Cheyenne, was sentenced to 120 months for possessing child pornography—a repeat offense. Authorities found over 60 files on his phone, after receiving CyberTips from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Tulio Arnulfo Garcia-Salazar, 42, of Guatemala, was sentenced to time served for illegal reentry into the United States after previously being deported. He was arrested in Rock Springs for a DUI and hit-and-run.
