The Wyoming Arts Alliance (WyAA) is inviting the public to a free Community Arts and Culture Luncheon on Friday, May 30, at the Nicolaysen Art Museum in Casper, Oil City News reports.

The event, running from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., is part of a broader initiative to support and strengthen Wyoming’s creative economy.

According to a release from WyAA, the luncheon serves as a listening session aimed at gathering input from artists, cultural institutions, educators, and community members. The goal is to better understand the current landscape of the arts in Wyoming, including its challenges, successes, and opportunities for growth.

“This conversation is most fruitful when it extends beyond those who work directly in the art and culture sector to those who engage in the events, services, and products of the creative economy,” the release notes.

WyAA is encouraging not only those in the arts but also elected officials, business leaders, and economic development professionals to attend and participate.

The luncheon will include a discussion and data-gathering session as part of WyAA’s statewide initiative to assess the impact of arts and culture on Wyoming’s economy. Registered participants will receive materials and a detailed agenda via email one week prior to the event.

WyAA, a nonpartisan nonprofit organization, focuses on advocacy, communication, and professional development to improve the arts and culture climate throughout the state. Future listening sessions are planned in additional communities including Laramie, Torrington, Pinedale, Jackson, Evanston, Weston, Upton, Gillette, and Sheridan.
