R.P. Lumber Co., Inc. has announced its acquisition of Aldrich Home Center, a longtime family-owned hardware store and lumberyard in Powell, Wyoming, Lesprom Network reports.

The deal is set to close on April 11, 2025, marking R.P. Lumber’s third location in Wyoming and its first in Park County.

Aldrich Home Center has been a trusted resource for both professional contractors and DIY homeowners for decades. The store operates a 7,700-square-foot showroom alongside a fully stocked lumberyard, offering a variety of tools, paint, building materials, and home improvement products.

Currently, its customer base consists of roughly 40% professional contractors and 60% DIY enthusiasts. R.P. Lumber intends to retain the existing staff and expand both the store’s inventory and job-site delivery service area.

Founded in 1977 in Staunton, Illinois, R.P. Lumber has grown into one of the largest independent building materials retailers in the country, with locations across Illinois, Missouri, Wyoming, Iowa, Wisconsin, and South Dakota.
