Flags to Return to Full Staff in Wyoming at Sunset on Saturday, Wyoming Tribune Eagle reports.

US and Wyoming state flags, currently flying at half-staff, will be returned to full staff at sunset on Saturday, April 26. This follows a Presidential Action and corresponding directive from Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon in honor of the late Pope Francis.

The Vatican has announced that funeral services for Pope Francis will be held on Saturday, April 25, with interment taking place the following day. The period of mourning has been recognized across the United States, including in Wyoming, where flags have been lowered in remembrance.

Governor Gordon issued a statement on Tuesday, expressing condolences and honoring the Pope’s legacy.

“I join Catholics around the world mourning the passing of Pope Francis, who lived a spiritual life exemplified by humility, compassion and service to all people,” the governor said.

Flags will return to full staff at the conclusion of Saturday, marking the end of the formal observance.
